Unmasking Dorian by Violet Summers

Title: (Jenner’s Law) Unmasking Dorian
Author: Violet Summers
Publisher: Liquid Silver Books
Published date: 2009
ISBN: 978-1-59578-614-2
Genre/Theme: BDSM
Length: 81 pages

Dorian Jenner is an undercover vice cop and a serious Dom. Cassidy Anderson-Lassiter has moved to Detroit with her daughter to work for her new brother in law Marcus Worthington, and to heal from the loss of her husband. She finds a book on BDSM in her sister Carrie's old apartment. The subject immediately catches her attention. Since the death of her husband Cass has put all she is into raising her daughter. Her wild child days are over, but there is something missing. She's grown cold inside, afraid to make the wrong move in life. To add some excitement she decides to explore the on-line world of D/S. It couldn't hurt, it’s not like she was ever going to meet someone from the computer. That is until she meets Master Darken. He is patient and kind. He takes her to places she'd never known. What starts online eventually leads to a real life meeting. Even though she can't see his face, his actions, his words wrap her in a whirlwind of erotic sensations that thaw the cold in Cassidy's soul. Hidden behind the mask, Dorian knows that Cass was meant for him, but she is skittish and afraid of the world outside the safe cocoon she's wrapped herself in. One night she begs to see who the man behind the mask is. What follows is a tempest of emotions that threaten everything Cassidy thought she wanted and needed for herself and her daughter. Because Unmasking Dorian will force Cassidy to choose between love, faith and hope or an overwhelming fear that could tear her apart forever.
Review: I loved this book from the very first page. Violet summers treats the reader to a wonderful story entwined with love and sensuality. After Cassidy Anderson looses her husband she moves to Detroit with her young daughter to heal. When she finds a book her sister has left behind on the world of BDSM she is intrigued. Cassidy decides that she is interested in this world enough to go online and investigate. She soon develops a relationship with a Dom. Little does she know that this Dom in particular is Dorian Jenner an undercover police officer and a friend of her brother in law. From their first encounter Dorian knows that she is the one for him but Cassidy has shut down and is too fearful of opening and giving her heart again. Cassidy soon realizes that she loves him but it seems every time they have a problem she runs. Can Dorian show Cassidy how much she is cherished? Has Cassidy run away one too many times? Cassidy is a great woman. I loved seeing her grow and blossom. Learning to trust in Dorian and their love. Dorian well what can I say he is one Alpha male. He was so patient with Cassidy as he tried to show her his love and gain her trust. She is his world and he would do anything for her but it must be her choice. This book sizzles right off the pages and the scene in the club with Gregori was very hot.Unmasking Dorian is definitely not to be missed. I know I will be looking for more from this series. As well as going back and reading the ones before this one that I have missed.

Swing Pointe: the adult theme park where clothing is always optional.Mark and Grace worked hard all their lives. Retirement has its benefits and they've decided to use their free time to open an adult theme park. If the winding line out front on opening night is any indication- sexual satisfaction is ready and waiting for all...

Review: Having read some of Kissa Starlings other books I jumped at the chance to read this one. This one was definitely an interesting concept. Who would have thought of an adult theme park and one that seemed to be as big as some of the major theme parks already out there that we know of. So many different rooms and rides what fun a person could have if this really existed. Swing Pointe is a short and quick read, a light and entertaining story.

The love and trust between Grace and Mark was a beautiful thing to read. Their open marriage allows them to play with many of the guest at their theme park and play they do. After being introduced to some of the parks major employees we follow Grace on her rounds around the park. As she realizes her dreams of owning such a park she enjoys herself in many ways. Even though separately Grace and Mark both enjoyed the park, the one thing they most enjoyed was each other. The scene between Grace, Mark and Greg before the theme park even opened was definitely a scorcher. Once again Kissa Starling doesn’t disappoint the reader. This book is a hot read not to be missed. I enjoyed this story from the beginning to end, it was a fun read and kept me entertained all the way to the finish.

Veterinarian Juli Gregenmyer's long-awaited engagement is turning into a nightmare. With each passing day it's becoming evident that her dream of opening a horse rescue is suddenly in jeopardy due to her controlling fiancée. Riley Hampton, a former Olympic equestrian, isn't expecting the sexy doctor who responds to his emergency call when his prize mare is in labor. His chosen sport favors the bold. He knows convincing Juli that they're good together will take the same skills he uses to navigate a water hazard-soft hands and gentle persuasion.
Juli isn't accustomed to men who comprehend her desires-both the professional and the carnal. But now it's time for her to choose. She can either follow her head, or her heart.

I was excited to review this story as I am an avid equestrian, and the story starts out well. You are pulled into Juli’s world as well as our sexy horse guy, Riley, and their personalities show in the story. The love scenes are intensely passionate and juicy leaving nothing to the imagination. Unfortunately, the story’s pace slows down and I found myself struggling to finish it midway through. It’s a decent read, don’t get me wrong, but maybe wait to buy it when it goes on sale.

Synopsis- Holly Mitchell works damn hard at her job, in fact it has become her whole life now that her boss and his brother have merged their hotels and set up a competition for the general manager’s position. For Holly it’s a dream job except for her competitor, Tristen Reese. He’s her professional nightmare, but that’s not about to stop her from getting what she wants.
For playboy Tristen Reese the competition is a game he intends to win. Harassing “Hard-ass Holly” simply makes the whole thing more interesting. Tristen loves women and a good challenge so what’s he to do when both things present themselves together in one cute, little, dark-haired package?

Review- Bite Me is clever, funny, sensual and all around a good read. The hero – sexy and a wee bit flawed. The heroine – realistic and likable. These two spar and make up in a divine bit of creative competition that’s bound to keep readers’ attention to the very end. Despite its somewhat misleading title in the age of vampire stories, Bite Me is a straightforward, happily-ever-after, sexual fantasy perfect for curling up by a warm fire with a cup of chai or a glass of wine, or better yet, sharing with that special someone. I cannot give Bite Me a perfect score due to a few typos and technical errors and a fairly wordy and somewhat unnecessary prologue, but I would recommend it to anyone who loves an alpha male and a woman strong enough to handle him. In a nutshell, Bite Me is yummy.

Review: Mercy is on vacation, her mission: to have a mind-blowing orgasm, at least a dozen before returning to her boring job. When she spots Sinner at her uncles club, she knows that this man could give her the orgasm she has been craving.

Spence is only at the Starry Night Club to find Parker and seek retribution. But those thoughts leave his mind the moment Mercy catches his eye. Spence was locked up for a crime he didn’t commit and is bound and determined to put the man in charge behind bars. That would be Mercy’s uncle.

The pages in this book were smoking. From the very moment Mercy spotted Sinner to the last page when the admitted their love in a very erotic way. I love how Mercy takes charge and she does it in a shy way. It really defines her character. True, she may be looking for sex without any strings, but she was also the type of woman you brought home to mom and had a serious relationship with. She is also the woman who has never had an orgasm and is willing to go to great lengths to get one from a sexy stranger dressed in black and a pair of cowboy boots. I love the suspense in this story and the drama. There is enough to keep the pages turning as quick as the reader can go. If you enjoy a walk on the wild side with a sexy mysterious cowboy than this a book you cannot miss.

With its powerful and highly erotic scenes this book is an intense read and not for someone who blushes easily. Sylvie Kaye has written a story with an intriguing plot that has the reader wondering where these two characters are going. There are some secondary characters in this book that play a role in the story and the outcome. Sylvie Kaye is an author to watch out for, she’s multi-talented, writing in different genres, and can heat up the cold nights ahead of us.

Underwear model Max Fever has a problem. He’s just become the Pixie Prince and his inheritance includes big golden wings that won’t let him sleep on his back. Max has to find a soft mattress or spend the rest of his days with a bruised behind. An enigmatic waiter named Marty takes Max to club Carpe Noctem to meet a vampire who has a space foam mattress. Max falls in love with the mattress and its owner, vampire Bliss Wilde. Will the tragic pasts of Bliss’ brother and Max’s best friend become a roadblock to their bonding?

Have you ever read something and you were left speechless? The good kind of speechless? Well, that is how I am feeling right now. I’m not sure that words could do this story or this author justice. Marty and Max are two incredible characters, Carpe Noctem is a vampire lovers wet dream! Max is sexy!!! I feel in love with him the moment I met him (if only in real life…sigh) and he kept charming me. Marty is a woman on a mission. Secondary characters can be tricky to pull off in a story, especially one so short, but Ms. Valentine did a wonderful job. The secondary characters played a major role in this story. The tension, the twists, the turns, will take your breath away. The reader will never expect the next wave of desire and the sex will blow your mind and leave you panting for more. I just can’t say enough about this story and I just can’t express in words how much I loved it!

Hands down my favorite paranormal story of 2009!! If you don’t check this story out…and you are a paranormal reader…than it’s your loss. You won’t read a story like this again!

Can she trust Mace enough herself to tell him about her past and just why she carries that gun?

Jeanne St. James writes an exciting action packed romance drawing the reader in from page one and never letting go. I was hooked from the first page of this story. I loved Colby and her fierceness and how she overcame all that was done to her and of course Mace the brooding Alpha Male was a great character to. Even with all his macho pride he still had his doubts and insecurities. The bond that formed between these two was a beautiful thing to read. Both Mace and Colby must learn to trust each other before time runs out and it is to late. Full of action and hot romance Banged Up is a page-turner that is not to be missed.
